Why ARISE?
FELLOWSHIP
We believe fellowship is vital because the Christian life was never meant to be lived alone. Scripture teaches us that believers are one body, called to encourage, support, and build each other up in love (Hebrews 10:24–25). Through fellowship, we share life together, creating a space where friendships grow, burdens are carried, and joy is multiplied. At ARISE, we will nurture this by gathering monthly to enjoy quality coffee, conversations, and activities that connect us beyond surface level. Our goal is to create a Christ-centered community where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and strengthened in their faith journey.
WORSHIP
Worship is the heart of our response to God. It’s more than singing songs, it’s about turning our attention and affection toward Him, declaring His greatness, and humbly offering ourselves as living sacrifices (Romans 12:1). When we worship together, we are reminded of God’s presence and power in our lives. At ARISE, we will set aside intentional time in every gathering to lift our voices in praise, both through music and prayer. We believe this shared worship renews our spirit, unites our hearts, and aligns us with God’s will, preparing us to be light in the world.
SCRIPTURE
The Word of God is our foundation and guide for life. We believe Scripture is inspired, living, and powerful, equipping us to know God more deeply and to walk faithfully in His truth (2 Timothy 3:16–17). In a world of shifting values, Scripture grounds us and shapes our identity in Christ. At ARISE, we will dedicate time to hear and reflect on God’s Word through teaching, discussion, and practical application. Our goal is not only to understand the message but to live it out daily, allowing the truth of Scripture to transform us and impact those around us.
ABOUT US
ARISE is a community initiative born out of Providence Baptist Church in Greenfield, MA, with a heart to reach our town and the surrounding churches. In 2024, we began simply by gathering for monthly prayer meetings, seeking God together and asking Him to work in our community. Over time, those meetings grew into something more — a monthly event where people come not only to pray, but to fellowship, worship, and study the Word of God as one body in Christ.
We believe that God has called His people to live in unity, to encourage one another, and to shine His light in a world that desperately needs hope. ARISE exists to provide a place where believers can grow deeper in their relationship with God and where those who are searching can encounter the love of Christ in a real and personal way.
Our goal is simple yet powerful: to glorify God by creating a welcoming space where lives are transformed by His truth, hearts are strengthened in faith, and the local church is united in mission. Together, we want to see Greenfield — and beyond — impacted by the message of the gospel, one gathering at a time.
